The healthcare world can be a confusing place, especially when it comes to the use of natural healthcare options. Good information is certainly available, but without a professional to explain the details, making an informed decision can still be difficult. Misconceptions surrounding strategies for achieving wellness can lead to an inconsistent healthcare philosophy, which ultimately leads to poor or misguided healthcare decisions. Village Wellness TV is designed to demystify natural health care, empower people to take control of their own wellness and help people develop a strong healthcare philosophy to use as a guidepost for future decision making and action steps needed to truly enhance quality of life.
Dr. Chad Mykietiuk (pronounce please!) is the host of Village Wellness TV, as well as co-owner and clinic director of Village Wellness, a multi-disciplinary healthcare clinic located in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, Canada. Dr. Chad is a chiropractor and a strong advocate of natural, non-invasive healthcare options as a first line of defence in the battle for wellness and improved quality of life. Dr. Chad also believes that achieving true wellness can only happen through a multi-faceted approach – consisting of exercise, nutrition, mental health, a proper healthcare support team, and a clearly defined healthcare philosophy.
The idea for Village Wellness TV developed from Dr. Chad’s clinical experience in his own practice and his passion for educating his patients. His observations revealed that although there is a wealth of healthcare knowledge easily available today through the internet, patients still require proper interpretation and advice from a professional in order to make an informed choice. Lack of information can keep critical healthcare decisions from happening, and eventually effect overall wellness and quality of life.
Dr. Chad’s genuine enthusiasm and interest for healthcare is evident in his honest and up-front education style. His goal is to cut down barriers and stimulate positive change when it comes to healthcare choices. Dr. Chad focuses on healthcare philosophy a lot in his teaching, since it is the backbone of living a wellness lifestyle. Chad has been a student of health and wellness over the past 10 years – with a firm understanding and background in anatomy, physiology, health promotion, exercise physiology, chiropractic and other forms of manual therapy, and healthcare philosophy.
